The Edmund Fitzgerald, Well I was in Ohio, I went to the CG commanders office, He said they didn't know what happened. He and I went over charts. It appeared it crossed a shallow. in a storm it will beat the bottom out of a ship. I lost several friends a year, commerical fishing. I have been in 80ft waves to often.. We scraped the mothball fleet from WWII, They would send me to bring the ships from Astoria to Portland, Two tugs, but they cant see the range markers. so I sat in helm for 90 miles,, at the wheel,, telling them 8deg port , now back to 5deg port. bring her to 60% heading. so on. I lost my partner and first Mate at sea. But Randy is still here
