The demo for "You Decorated My Life" sat at the bottom of a stack of recordings for Kenny Rogers to audition, but the moment the late country legend heard it, his ears perked up.
"Life" was very much lived by songwriter Debbie Hupp, who co-wrote the song with Bob Morrison. Morrison recalled the Story Behind the Song with Bart Herbison of Nashville Songwriters' Association International.
Today is my wife, Lynn's, birthday and I am dedicated this song to her!!
