Happy Halloween, everyone! We're still visiting in Little Rock (until Sunday when we drive back home). I found a karaoke place in North Little Rock at a bowling alley called Millennium Bowl. It has a fairly large bar and grill inside the bowling alley. I'm sure that the place we went to last night was more exciting (they were having a costume contest), but this one was more our style as it was low key, not too crowded and not too loud (and not all young people). There were about 5 regular singers (including me and the KJ) and others who came and went in the audience or singing. We were there from 8 when they started to about 10:30, and I sang 7 songs (two of them duets). It was great fun, and the audience was appreciative and sang along. Below is a pic of my witch costume. I was just going for comfortable, and it was raining and cold all day. Still, I got many compliments. Also, I brought a bag of mini-candy bars with me and gave them out to people, so that probably made me more popular. Hee hee! I had gone a few years back as Red Riding Hood, with a little basket, with candy in it, so I figured, why not do it again? Everyone loves chocolate! :) Most of the singers were singing oldies (mostly rock/pop/blues), and that was great for us. I was trying to do songs with a Halloween theme, so I started with "Witchy Woman" by the Eagles, then this one, which is my standard Halloween song. I also tried "Thriller," which was not great, and "The Witch Queen from New Orleans." I didn't know either well enough. I also did, "I Will Survive," which women always love, and "Magic" by Olivia Newton John. The KJ and I did "Time Warp" and I did another duet with a man there who had a great voice: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Unfortunately, I forgot to record those last two. Anyway, there's nothing I like more than doing karaoke on Halloween in costume. It's always fun! (The place we used to go to here is gone now, so it was nice to find somewhere else) Hope you all had a great weekend!
