Hi everybody! It's been awhile since I posted but I wanted to take this time to thank all our soldiers on this special Veteran's Day! This 1962 song by The Shirelles was written by Florence Greenberg, the founder of Scepter Records. It was originally titled, "I'll Be True To You". It's about a gal professing her love for a soldier boy, whom she promises to remain true to while he's away. It topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Thanks for listening! Happy Veteran's Day!! :)
