There are many variations of lyrics, this is a composition of several versions.
I Wish I Was Single Again (often “I Wish I Were Single Again”)
was written by J.C. Beckel in 1871.
James Cox Beckel (1811-1880) was a Philadelphia church organist and composer.
Well, this is an adapted version of Wilf Carter, lyrics from serval variations to make
this Q version.

What good it in the closet? ? She hears me, most of the time, when I sing. Sing is a term but caterwauling is closer.
