I was enjoying a listen of the Carol King Tapestry album and when this song began playing, sparked memory of a recording I made back in 2020. I pulled it out and updated the recording with a newer mix (I've learned a thing or two since then). Written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. It was originally recorded in 1960 by the Shirelles, who took their single to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has since been recorded by many artists over the years, including a 1971 version by co-writer Carole King. Back then, I recorded both versions and could not make up my mind so I did something I never tried before. I combined both versions into a single recording. This is the first time sharing on KD.
