Written in 1940 by a young Consuelo Velasquez, (at this time she had never been kissed...lol).....this song would go on to become one of the most famous boleros, and was recognized in 1999 as the most sung and recorded Mexican song in the world. I have Andrea Bocelli's 2006 album recorded live at the opening of Lake Las Vegas. This song was one of my best karaoke friends Lenny(granddaddyrapper)'s favorite songs. Lenny is with Our Lord and his angels now. RIP Lenny.....:-)
