Hi, everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! We went out to karaoke tonight (first time in a long while) at a place called The Angry Gnome in New Hyde Park. The place is only about 20 minutes' drive from our house, depending on traffic. Anyway, it was a very tiny place, and the only chairs were the bar stools at the bar (at least they did have back support). We got there around 9 and were lucky to find two seats. It got really crowded and loud after that. The karaoke started at 9:30, and my husband (who's not a night owl) wanted to leave at 11. I got two songs in, which is OK for such a short time. The people were very nice. I sang "All Jacked Up" by Gretchen Wilson as a warm up song, and then seemingly DAYS later ;) I sang this one, which I know very well. You can hear other women in the crowd singing along, too! And also, my husband and the bartender talking because my phone was recording right on the bar where he was sitting... LOL!
