This song draws on a rough patch Brooks went though with Trisha Yearwood before he married her in 2005. "It's about that point in a relationship when you make the decision whether what you have is worth fighting for, or is it just easier to call it 'friends' and live life from there.
Back in 2010, I approached Joyce about singing Trisha's vocals and she was sensational. A song, I thought worthy to bring back today in hopes you'd enjoy the collaboration. Thanks again to those with time to listen as well as Joyce for making this recording so much fun.

@karenjara Hi Karen... and hello from upstate NY and LA.. I stumbled upon this going through all the recordings . This one I enjoyed because of the minimal musical equipment and the vocals. I guess this song has been done by other couples but Garth & Trisha decided to give it a try . Joyce and I did this back in 2010. As we all only get better over time with mixing, we both could hear the flaws but I wanted to post it again. We both thank you for coming to listen Karen.

@divolino Hi Josh... As versatile as Joyce is, shes like a human music machine. I say that because she loves music, and its obvious. This duet didn't hold it's attention after it was released. Love the almost Acca Pelo sound with the harmonies. We sure enjoy your songs too my man! The soft deliveries you choose in your songs are perfect matches. TY so much for listening Josh.

@bevb Good evening Bev. Although this was an older recording, we both enjoyed the almost acca pelo vibe this had. Always love the harmonies, the theme, and another chance to maybe hear from YOU. We appreciate ya Bev. Very much. :)

@joyce Hi Joyce... I know our standards are improved but it was a fun collaboration and joy to hear. I could hear "stuff" that could of been a sharper pencil on so thanks for letting me share your talents. :)
