Hi, everyone! First of all, sorry it's been awhile...again! I haven't had much time to record.

Second, I'm very grateful for this site, and all you folks, especially since K Scene is doing so badly now. I still try to post there sometimes, but it can be impossible.

Third, here's a song I recorded in 2012, after learning it. Most of my songs are from 60's through 80s, but this one I heard so much and loved it, so I learned it. Since I stopped listening to the radio after college (1986 or so), anything since then takes extra effort, since I haven't heard it and sung along with it 10,000 times. Anyway... I've sung it quite a few times in karaoke, but I think my original recording is usually better than the live version. Most of my songs sound better live, I think. This one...not so sure.

Right now we're up in Albany for just two days for my husband's work. We went out to karaoke tonight at a place here that starts at 7pm just about every night, so it's ideal for us (my husband, David, is an early bird). We just stayed a few hours, but I had fun. I didn't sing anything new because I just didn't feel like it. It's just as well because the crowd was not very good. They hardly clapped at anything. As David said, "This is a DESPITE karaoke crow, not because of." He was right, for sure. It got a little better about the time we were leaving, but that's OK. I really wasn't in the mood for a loud crowd, anyway. There were plenty of people in the bar already. They just weren't applauding much. Usually, if I sing this one, I get a few younger people singing along, loudly. Not this time! :( There were only a few other singers, too.

I love Albany, so I'm sorry to leave it. I hope we come back again sometime! They have some great food and nice old buildings.
