I first heard this song in year 2013 from Sarah Brightman's Dreamcatcher's album, found it quite interesting, but thinking not my kind of song to sing. Then many years later, i was watching a movie and a song was playing . The familiar melody sounded very pleasant to my ears, but i couldn't locate where i heard it before. So i did some internet searching and found out this same song 'One Day Like This' is from a group called 'Elbow' - quite an interesting name for a group of musicians, i must say. And when i heard it the second time, it just grew on me much more than the first time. And i love the idea about falling in love and the morning after falling in love specifically pondering it. The original version is a 6 minutes plus song, for an amateur like me, i am not so sure my singing can capture audience's attention for such long time. So with an excuse of artistic freedom, i've shortened it. Hope my edited version won't offend you.
In 2009 One Day Like This received the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for best song musically and lyrically.
