when I was a boy, people on TV became famous for impersonating / sounding like someone else who was already famous. As a little boy I thought this was cool and I wanted to be able to emulate other artist rather than just sound like me. Even though I never got good at it ...I still try my best to have fun with it. This song I did because I had done all the country songs that I was able to do, and therefore I wanted to try Rock. While singing this song I thought of my best friend even though she lives in TN and not in China, and We have never met in person. So if she ever took a vacation to see China then she would be my China Girl. She knows who she is :)
