"Going Where the Lonely Go" is a 1982 country song written and recorded by Merle Haggard and The Strangers, reaching number one on the US Country charts. The title track of his 1982 album was inspired by a remark from his friend Dean Holloway during recording sessions in Los Angeles, Facebook marking his 28th number-one hit.
RIP Merle. We miss you, buddy. Here is my cover of one of his great songs. Thanks for listening.
