yep got stuck in Stockton once about same :)

Well i was living in Reno.. went to Stockton , little sing, little drink.
an a big poker game...

well had a guy drop me out on highway,, then i realized, no traffic, an i had no water,
about time i thought i might die out there or walk 10mi back to town,,

a cow gal chick in a caddy convertible showed up.. said hop in Dude,, she didn't have to ask twice :)
She said: people die out here on the high plains ya know,, yep i knew...
dropped me back in Stockton,, i called a friend , well had to wait, for her days off
,, got home a few days later
