I begin this post with an original to lead into the song "Sound of Silence"

Silence, which fills the air when entering a room
The something that gives the aura of a tomb.
Silence, it can be emotional destruction
When used in anger for communication reduction
Silence, it can speak volumes without sound
Such treatment is difficult, to be around.
Silence, the best and safest action
Avoiding the need of, hasty retraction.
Silence, separating the wins and losses of shouting
the treatment given by the loser, by pouting.
Silence, the golden moment when nothing is spoken
about the time when a promise was broken.
Silence, does not always mean a quiet moment
Sometimes it's means being free from mental torment.
Silence, it could be the perfect selection
To avoid a condition of, physical ejection.
Silence, the tension before a release of phrases
And I don't mean, of glorious praises.
Silence, is said can be cut with a knife
When there is discord between husband and wife.
When all is said, yet nothing worthwhile
after words stop flowing, silence, brings forth a smile.
Silence, does not prevent dissolution
Nor does it halt a revolution.
Silence, the deafening sound that follows
A gun-shot echoing through the hollows.
Silence, may be a gift of words unsaid
Perhaps a moment of silence,
To remember, and honor the dead.

Sounds of Silence; Simon & Garfunkel

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence
