Awake is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Josh Groban. Announced on September 13, 2006.
The album also featured Groban's head voice technique as evident in most of the tracks in the album.

I watched a Josh Groban interview a while back and he was talking about this song. He said it's about a time in his life (during February) when things were changing. He'd finished touring, his relationship with his girlfriend had ended, and so he wrote this song about himself.

This song was co-written by Josh Groban,John Ondrasik(5 for Fighting) and Marius de Vries

I started to record this song about 7 yrs ago when we learned (in february that year) that we were expecting a granddaughter. She arrived just fine..but..I never completed the song cuz the lyrics meaning didn't fit the occasion..but..I love the song and decided to finish it now.
