Well I sing this one a lot, its a very favorite.. So I sing it again today ...

But I haven't actually sit an listened to Don Gibson or JC sing it; in a lot of years..

we all 3 sing it a bit different.. but they got paid,, :)

18yrs I skippered this vessel along with 3 others, this is the Mary H ,,, a fishing skipper is called by the name of the vessel..
such as Skorsby Bob,, Viking Steve,, well ther could't call me Mary H or Karen Sue so I was always called Captain Rick..
In port once a week as we spent 5 or 6 days at sea.. then I sang.. but never at sea, didn't want the crew to throw me over :(

Being at sea all the time,, ya suppose that is why I was married 5 times.. Sharon isn't foolish enough to marry me,, :)
Oh the gals would go along once in a while, but a fishing vessel, we are working from day break to midnight,, catching an icing fish,, One day, it just wasn't fun anymore.. so i gave it up...
