Well this song always takes me back to a tittle Kid and his best Friend Laddie.

Laddie for some reason protected the weak.. well he was only 9 yrs old. a bunch of dogs , jumped the neighbor dog..
Laddie ran to help him.. and was killed... I always sing this song with tears in my eyes. thinking of a simple time a boy and a dog, not a care in the world,,,

today Annie is also my friend, and we are both living a simple life,, but the world is no longer simple...
