"Daydream" is a popular song written by John Sebastian, first released in 1966. The song was originally recorded that year by Sebastian's group The Lovin' Spoonful and released on their album of the same title. "Daydream" originated with Sebastian's attempt to rewrite The Supremes' "Baby Love".

Sebastian did his own whistling in the instrumental section plus the coda before the song's fade.
