In the movie, the band is scheduled to play at Tony Mart's. The swamper, a kid named Frank Ridgeway, was playing piano and Eddie's girlfriend, Joanne Carlino hears one of his songs and likes it. Eventually, Eddy gives the kid an audition for his new songs and the band records them. Tender Years is one of those songs.

Keith Wallin: @bevb Thanks for grabbing a front row seat for this one, Bev! My two favorite songs from the original movie are "On The Dark Side" and "Tender Years." That's why I used them as bookends for all the Eddie and the Cruisers songs I subbed. Appreciate ya....:-)
