Today, please allow me to post something different. It's a song penned by the one and only Mr. Herb Alpert, whose musical achievement is paramount. He wrote this piece of music in 1977 for an American TV series 'Aspen'. The title is 'The Lovers' and was published in year 1985 by Denver Music Inc. The CD is called 'Lover's Romance Volume one'. Though it is such a beautifully melody, he has never asked anyone to write a lyric for it. In 1980, in a far away place called Hong Kong, a lyricist wrote a Chinese lyric for it and it became right away a very successful song at that time. i love the celestial lyric as much as the melody itself. In order to assist non-Chinese speaking audiences to understand the song better, i've tried to translate the original lyric into English, The structure of the song is divided into 3 parts, the 1st and the 3rd part are singing, while the middle part is a narration. If mistakes were found, please accept my humble apology. Much is lost in translation.
