A little recitation from the pen of Marriott Edgar, born George Marriott Edgar in Kirkcudbright, Scotland, he was a poet, scriptwriter and comedian best known for writing many of the monologues performed by Stanley Holloway, particularly the 'Albert' series of which this is one with more to follow.
