George Strait has recorded 60 Number 1 hit songs. That is more than any artist, in any genre, in recorded history. More than The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Eddy Arnold. I thought it would be fun to sing ALL 60 of his Number 1 hits. The sixth one dates back to 1984......
"Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" is a song written Sanger D. Shafer and Darlene Shafer, and recorded by American country music artist George Strait. It was released in September 1984 as the lead-off single and title track from his album of the same name. It reached number one on the country music charts in the United States, and number 10 in Canada.
