This song was written and produced by Madonna...she released it in 1987...
Was her 4th number 1 single in the UK
She stated to Rolling Stone Magazine that she didn't know where San Pedro was at the time ..on her way to the studio one day she noticed an exit sign to San Pedro....
She described the song as a tribute to the beauty and mystery of Latin American people..
