The song tells his story using the titles of the songs he sang... no .. I use to play it.. I can't anymore.
Rodgers decided to travel to Asheville, North Carolina, later that same year. On April 18, 1927, at 9:30 pm, Jimmie, and Otis Kuykendall performed for the first time on WWNC, Asheville's first radio station. A few months later, Rodgers recruited a group from Bristol, Tennessee, called the Tenneva Ramblers, and secured a weekly slot on the station as "The Jimmie Rodgers Entertainers".
Sharon, Annie and I live 20 min from Asheville. He got married, I could have told him Watch out for those Ashville girls LOL
Jimmy Died at 36yrs TB,, but he sand his last song 2 days before he died clear as a bell, which i can't do anymore ...
but I try :)
This song used the titles of the songs Jimmy wrote and sang... probably most famous today is (In the Jailhouse now and Mule Skinner Blues)
