"Rawhide" is a Western song written by Ned Washington (lyrics) and composed by Dimitri Tiomkin in 1958. It was originally recorded by Frankie Laine.

The song was used as the theme to Rawhide, a western television series that ran on CBS from 1959 to 1966.

Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time.

I thought it would be fun to sing some of the theme songs of TV shows I grew up with.....Keith.....:-)

Keith Wallin: @cash That's pretty high praise, Cash. I just enjoy singing a variety of songs from different genres. This is such an iconic song. Glad you guys liked my rendition of it. This song kinda gets you all fired up when you sing it....lol Yesterday morning, I was thinking that we did a challenge on another site where each of us replicated a TV Theme song. That got me to thinking about Rawhide, Gilligan's Island and The Dukes of Hazzard theme songs. So, I found backing tracks for all three and recorded them yesterday afternoon.
