Tea & Sympathy, everyone needs these once in a while, but when these help no more...... Singer, songwriter, poet Janis Ian wrote this heartbreaking piece of music plus her ever so hauntingly beautiful lyric in the year 1975 for her album 'Between The Line'. Though it might not have been as popular as 'At 17' Or 'In the Winter', this song is nevertheless a gem and deserves our attention.

Janis Ian is so talented, i can't even start to express how i love her creations. i wanted so much to sing her 'At 17' , a shy person at school like me knows exactly why she wrote the song. But some lyric in 'At 17' is difficult to sing from a male perspective. Maybe you will like to have a go, perhaps ?

Keith Wallin: @divolino I have loved Janis Ian's music since "Society's Child" and "At 17" were on the radio. I agree with Joyce, Joshua. This is a stage worthy performance! Your soft treatment of the lyrics makes the listener sit up and listen closely to what is being sung. You sang this brilliantly! Loved my listen....:-)
