Ron Ballad: @cash Thanks so much, Cash! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I speak several languages thanks to my lifelong travels, but sadly this isn't one of them! Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together and speaking to the heart, no matter what language it's sung in. I really appreciate your kind words.

Ron Ballad: @markstunes G’day from Australia, Mark! I had a lot of fun learning this one, although knowing Patsy Cline’s original certainly made the task a bit easier. I might not have pronounced the lyrics quite like a local, but I felt safe in equally foreign company! Thanks for stopping by, Mark.

Ron Ballad: @joyced Thanks so much, Joyce. As I mentioned to Mark, you also know my musical influences well, so it is probably not surprising that you heard a bit of James Taylor and Dan Seals in there. I am genuinely delighted you enjoyed it, and your kind words mean a great deal to me.

Ron Ballad: @alanr Thanks so much, Alan. I really appreciate your kind words. Knowing how much you enjoyed it means a great deal to me. I probably imagined the shakiness. We are usually our own worst critics and tend to hear every little flaw that no one else notices! By the way, how is Lea Anne? We have not heard her lately and hope she is keeping well. Please give her our warm regards, and our very best wishes to both of you.

Ron Ballad: @karenjara Hi Karen, this is the Eric Clapton version, and quite different to the iconic version/s. A bit unusual for me, but I enjoyed the change! Thanks as always.

Ron Ballad: @markstunes Thanks again Mark, I have a few new software tools with which I have tried to remix some of these old recordings! I’ve honestly not recorded anything in years! My main interest in the hobby has always been to learn to mix half decently! Thanks again Mark

Sometimes the true beauty of life reveals itself in the quiet moments… sitting back, listening to old songs, and letting memories gently drift through the mind. A melody from years ago can suddenly bring back places, faces, laughter, heartbreak, simpler days, and people we may never meet again. Music has a way of preserving little pieces of our lives that time could never fully erase.

Tonight reminded me that growing older is not only about losing moments.. it’s also about carrying a lifetime of beautiful memories within us. Some songs don’t just play… they take us home. ????
AlanR: @balladdude This is so true, they are instant triggers for moments in time, refreshing them in our mind, just like a photograph, but in music, they can bring happiness, comfort, heartbreak, they are like a time travelling tool. :-)

Ron Ballad: @alanr Absolutely, Allan. A song can transport us back to a particular moment, place or person in an instant. Unlike a photograph, it often brings back not only the memory itself but also the emotions we felt at the time. In that sense, music really is one of the most powerful forms of time travel available to us.
