Maybe I'm just old fashion and I do realize that many things have changed rapidly over the past decade or two, but what has always been a common courtesy amoung entertainers is to acknowledge their audience in appreciation for their applause, cheers or other forms of praising one's performance. Karaoke, is no different in my humble opinion. It may not be for pay but nonetheless, if someone has taken the time to listen to your work and leave a kind comment, some form of acknowledgement by the performer, be it a thank you or other response, is also the right thing to do. Just one man's opinion...... Thank you..
Aragorn: @starlyter I agree, Brad. Anyone who has been kind enough to compliment the artist should receive a personal reply in thanks. I also go listen to a song of theirs and leave a comment when I receive one, and I listen to every note they sing as well. It can take a good bit of time to thank them and go have a listen, but those people took the time for you.

Cash: @starlyter yes . a performer takes time to give you a bit of happyness, then that person should be thanked,, in one way or other
