From the one & only Ms. Dolly Parton. What an outstanding song writer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actress, author, and humanitarian she is.

Here i'd like to share a personal story regarding this song, while i was at the age of the boy in this song, around 6 or 7, something happened to my family. At that time, during a summer holiday, my sister was taking a summer job as a cashier in a restaurant, one night she came back with a little girl called Bea who was more or less at my same age. While i was helping Bea to settle down, my sister told my parent that Bea's father was the owner of the restaurant she worked and a divorcee and that every night her father would bring the little girl to the restaurant and disappear. Her mother was never in the picture, so my sister had never met her. Most nights her father would return before closing and collect little Bea, but that particular night, my sister had waited and waited, he just never returned. And there was no one answering the home phone - at that time, no one had mobile phone. All the staffs were gone except my sister, so the only option was to bring Bea to stay with us for the night. Then one night turned into a week. Within that week my sister had exhausted all resources to locate the restauranteur, but no result. Eventually, the father reappeared, as if nothing had happened, he collected Bea and that was the last time i saw Bea. Summer passed, my sister returned to school and the connection to Bea was cut abruptly, because Bea's father decided to send her to a boarding school oversea. Even now, after so many years, i still wonder what has happened to Bea after our farewell. Is she a happy woman now ? i hope she is.
And that is why, even though i've never tried a country song before, i need to sing this song for Bea and for all the other less fortunate children from unstable or disrupted families.

admin: @divolino Oh wow, what a sad story and that poor Bea. Thank God for your sister and family for taking her in. I hope she thinks of you all as you do her. Absolutely wonderful song, tribute and sing. Love this ♥
