I had the distinct pleasure of convincing Pam (Mav2100) to give me her 2007 release of The Carpenter's version of this song. Keep in mind, I couldn't find a single version of this song that was recorded as a duet (except Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald) and that was not the entire song, just part of group of songs they did in one performance. So this project took on a special kind of challenge. With a lot of trial and error, I was able to produce a duet with Pam's original 2007 cover recording and my 2022 additions. Cheering from the sidelines and providing some great advice, Pam's solo took on a new flavor.

A few injected lines from yours truly, some added harmony and post miracle work and voila, this joint effort worked out pretty good IMO. You got to remember, I had some terrific source material to work with on this one. Our collaboration is not like the Carpenter/Fitzgerald snippet.

Thanks to my singing partner for her terrific contributions to this duet, which was separated not only by the hundreds of miles between us but also 15 years between recording dates. Hope you enjoy.
